About Us
On-Word Bound Books LLC is a small, independent publishing & media company committed to producing quality products for niche markets. On-Word Bound Books works closely with their authors in order to produce the highest quality product possible.
Co-owners, Sara Duke and David Devere founded On-Word Bound Books in 2003. They worked with Karen McTavish to produce one book per year with her from 2004-2008. The next book OWBB took on was The Yamas & Niyamas ~ Exploring Yoga's Ethical Practice by Deborah Adele, published in 2009. Custom Curves by Karen McTavish was released in April, 2011.
David and Sara are very pleased with all of the books. They feel the content and design are top quality and the retail price can't be beat. Reaction to each book has been quick and positive.
Producing one book per year doesn't keep Dave and Sara completely busy so they are always dreaming up new ideas to continue to support themselves and their business. They are currently engaged in the Northeast Entrepreneurs Fund's training program: Be Strategic ~ Grow Your Business. They are working to expand their videography (film) branch of their business and also have two upcoming projects: one yoga-based and one travel-based.
Sara teaches yoga in various studios and businesses around Duluth and has a passion for Restorative Yoga and Deep Relaxation - see her website, Do Restorative Yoga, and blog for more information.
David enjoys history, especially anything relating to WWII. He has worked for Hasbro and Wizards of the Coast creating an on-line campaign game with scenarios of various WWII battles. Recently he has provided content for the Flames of War website and he runs his own gaming blog: Northland Tactical Society. Check out our games link for more information.
