He has a passion for history, culture, food, and wine and has a way with teaching that makes these topics come alive. He previously wrote a bi-monthly column for the Duluth News Tribune, and now writes a monthly private newsletter with columns on travel, spirits, history, and wine. Since 2011, Sara and David have been exploring and boating on the French canal system. They offer guided boat tours on the Canals of France, combining their love of travel, geography, history, yoga, and wine to create a relaxing, fun, and educational adventure-vacation. In 2019 they expanded their service, offering 1x monthly spirits education classes and also a springtime canal boat trip in Holland. In 2022, along with a few other couples, they bought a canal boat in France. Tours in 2023 and 2024 are already booked.
